This Privacy Policy explains how Martijn Dieleman (“I,” “me,” “my”) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit martijndieleman.com (the “Site”) or use the services offered on it, including the “Becoming The Future You” course, the “Becoming The Future You Accelerated” coaching program, workshops, and retreats.
I am committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Spanish data protection law.
1. Who is responsible for your data (Data Controller)

2. What personal data I collect
Depending on how you interact with the Site, I may collect:
- Contact form submissions: your name, email address, the subject you select, and the content of your message.
- Purchases and bookings (course, Accelerated program, workshops, retreats): your name, email address, physical address, and payment details. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, I do not see or store your full card details.
- Live participation (Accelerated coaching sessions, workshops, retreats): an emergency contact name and phone number, collected so that someone you know can be reached on your behalf in the event of a health or safety emergency during a live session or in-person event.
- Accelerated program applications: if you apply, the information you submit as part of your application, used to assess your fit for the program.
- Group/team bookings (workshops, retreats): where a company or team books on behalf of a group, the booking contact’s name, email, and company details, and where relevant, the names of individual participants.
- Newsletter / waitlist signups: your name (if provided) and email address, collected and managed via MailerLite.
- Course access and progress: if you enroll in the course, your account details and progress are managed through Tutor LMS, running on this WordPress site.
- Analytics data: anonymized/aggregated usage data such as pages visited, time on site, device type, and general location (country/city level), collected via Google Analytics, but only after you consent via the cookie banner.
- Video engagement data: if you watch embedded videos on the Site, Vimeo may collect data related to your interaction with the video player, per Vimeo’s own privacy policy.
- Spam protection data: when you submit a form on this Site, Google reCAPTCHA analyzes your interaction with the page (such as mouse movement and browsing behavior) to help distinguish real visitors from automated bots. This runs automatically in the background and does not require any action from you.
I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 16. This Site and its services are intended for adults.

4. Who I share your data with (Third-party processors)
I use the following third-party services to operate this Site and deliver the course/coaching program. Each of these providers processes data on my behalf, under their own privacy and security safeguards:
- Stripe (payment processing)
- MailerLite (email marketing and newsletter management)
- Tutor LMS (course delivery, hosted on this WordPress installation)
- Google Analytics (website analytics, only with your consent)
- Vimeo (video hosting and playback)
- Google reCAPTCHA (spam and bot protection on forms. Analyzes visitor interactions to help distinguish real submissions from automated ones)
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), particularly in the United States. Where this occurs, these providers rely on mechanisms such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to ensure your data remains protected to EU standards.
I do not sell your personal data to anyone, and I do not currently run advertising trackers (such as Facebook/Meta Pixel) on this Site. If this changes in the future, I will update this policy accordingly.
5. Cookies
This Site uses cookies and similar technologies to operate properly and to understand how visitors use it. When you first visit, you’ll see a cookie banner where you can accept, reject, or customize which categories of cookies you allow.
What are cookies? Cookies are small text files placed on your device that allow a website to recognize your device and store some information about your preferences or past actions.
Categories of cookies used on this Site:
- Necessary cookies: essential for the Site to function properly (e.g., remembering your cookie consent choice, security features). These cannot be switched off and don’t require consent.
- Analytics cookies: used by Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site (pages visited, time spent, general location, device type). These are only set if you consent, and help me improve the Site’s content and structure.

6. How long I keep your data
- Contact form submissions: retained for as long as needed to handle your inquiry, then deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period.
- Purchase and payment records: retained for the period required by Spanish tax and accounting law (generally several years).
- Newsletter/waitlist data: retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
- Course account data: retained for as long as you have access to the course, plus a reasonable period afterward for support purposes.
- Analytics data: retained according to Google Analytics’ default retention settings, or as configured in my account.
- Emergency contact details: retained only for the duration of the relevant live session, workshop, or retreat, and deleted shortly afterward, unless you request otherwise.
7. Your rights under GDPR
As a data subject under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data I hold about you
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”), where applicable
- Restrict or object to processing of your data
- Data portability; receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent (e.g., newsletter, analytics cookies), without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal
- Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. In Spain, this is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD), www.aepd.es

8. Data security
I take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse, including relying on the security measures of the third-party processors listed above (Stripe, MailerLite, Google, Vimeo), all of whom maintain their own industry-standard security practices.
9. Changes to this Policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example as I add new tools or services to the Site. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. I encourage you to review this page periodically.
